"It is 2130 on the night of Sunday 4th April 2004. The noise of bleeps, phasers and warp drive capable engines emanating from the telly are interrupted by a sound of a type not normally associated with the phonic repertoire of Star Trek!"
Sounds like a fairly average night for a techie, doesn't it? Except for the last part. Moments later, our lives at First Base Technologies began to be transformed, as were our attitudes refined, by the distressing and potentially disastrous occurrence of an office fire.
Now, nearly three months after the incident, we feel able to share this with you: the experience, the photographs and what we learned. Our reasons for doing this are in the hope that it may be useful, and make people think: perhaps helping to prevent, or at least to ameliorate the effects of, such a situation should it occur to someone as unfortunate as we have been.
